On 29 September 2023 at 11:00 hrs. H.E. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, attended the Opening Ceremony of ASEAN-Japan Fair at Plaza Senayan which is an exhibition showcasing the products and projects in and for ASEAN by the Japanese public and private sectors under the four priority areas of ASEAN Outlook on Indo-Pacific (AOIP). The event was attended by Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Community and Corporate Affairs, Permanent Representatives to ASEAN, and the general public.

On this occasion, Ambassador Sriphiromya, representing Thailand as the Country Coordinator for ASEAN-Japan dialogue relations, delivered her remarks on behalf of the ASEAN Member States to congratulate the Mission of Japan to ASEAN in organizing the ASEAN-Japan Fair, which is an opportunity to connect the Peoples of ASEAN and Japan, strengthening the ASEAN-Japan ties that has been founded on “heart-to-heart” cooperation.

This event is part of the commemoration of 50 Years of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation under the theme “Golden Friendship, Golden Opportunity”. The Fair’s mascot JABOT was also introduced to illustrate ASEAN-Japan cooperation.
