On 17 June 2025, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, in her capacity as Country Coordinator for ASEAN–ROK Dialogue Relations, delivered a congratulatory speech at the opening session of the 2025 ASEAN–ROK Connectivity Forum at the Mulia Hotel, Jakarta. The event was hosted by the Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN to introduce the ASEAN Connectivity Strategic Plan (ACSP) and advance ASEAN-ROK cooperation to enhance regional connectivity, particularly in the supply chain.

In her congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Ekarohit highlighted the importance of the Connectivity agenda in ASEAN Community Building and ASEAN Outlook on Indo-Pacific (AOIP). She commended the Republic of Korea’s strong and sustained support for ASEAN Connectivity, especially under the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 and the transition to the newly launched ACSP. This underscored the Republic of Korea’s concrete implementation of its proposal to establish the ASEAN–ROK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which prioritises connectivity as a core area of cooperation.
