On 27 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Prinat Apirat, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, welcomed Mr. Chat Luangarpa, President Commissioner of Bank Maspion, which is a subsidiary in Indonesia of Kasikornbank, together with executives from both Bank Maspion and Kasikornbank, during a courtesy call at the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN in Jakarta.

Both sides exchanged views on opportunities and challenges for Thai private-sector investment in Indonesia and across ASEAN, as well as potential avenues for cooperation within ASEAN frameworks to support regional entrepreneurs and enhance economic connectivity.

Kasikornbank has invested in Bank Maspion in Indonesia since 2017 and has also expanded its investment in other ASEAN Member States, including Lao PDR, Viet Nam, Myanmar, and Cambodia, reflecting the growing role of Thai businesses in strengthening regional economic integration within ASEAN.
