On 31 October 2024, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, during Thailand’s Country Coordinatorship for ASEAN-Republic of Korea (ROK) Dialogue Relations, joined H.E. Mr. Lee Jang-keun, Ambassador of the ROK to ASEAN, in delivering the opening remarks for the “We are One” Musical Shadow Art Performance to celebrate the 35^th Anniversary of ASEAN-ROK Dialogue Relations and the establishment of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between ASEAN and the ROK.

The event was held at Ciputra Artpreneur Theatre in Jakarta and organized by the Mission of the ROK to ASEAN to promote cultural exchanges between ASEAN and the ROK. It was well attended by the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN, representatives of the ASEAN Secretariat, and the general public.

During the ASEAN-ROK Summit on 10 October 2024 in Vientiane, Leaders of ASEAN and the ROK announced the elevation of ASEAN-ROK Dialogue Relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which is the highest level of relations that ASEAN has with its dialogue partners. The ROK was the sixth Dialogue Partner of ASEAN that has been accorded such status.
