On 3 July 2026, Ms. Prinat Apirat, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN attended the opening ceremony of the Regional Capacity Building Workshop of the eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN (eYAA): Cohort 6 for ASEAN youth volunteers at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. The event was co-organised by the ASEAN Foundation in partnership with the Maybank Foundation and brought together approximately 120 youth representatives from ASEAN Member States.

On this occasion, Ambassador Prinat participated as a speaker in the Fireside Chat session entitled “ASEAN 101”. She underscored the vital role of ASEAN youth as a driving force in building a resilient ASEAN Community capable of responding to the evolving opportunities and challenges of today and the future. She also encouraged the participants to pursue their goals with passion, integrity, excellence, and pragmatism, while remaining open to learning from and exchanging experiences with their peers from across ASEAN.

This participation reflects Thailand’s and the Permanent Mission’s continued commitment to promoting the role of ASEAN youth and empowering them to contribute meaningfully to building a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive ASEAN Community.
