On 11 November 2025, Thailand and the Republic of Korea (ROK), together with the ASEAN Member States and with the ASEAN Secretary-General as the guest of honour, celebrated the 7th ASEAN–ROK Day Reception in Jakarta. Dr. Suwit Mangkhala, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., represented Thailand in its capacity as Country Coordinator and delivered his congratulatory remarks on behalf of ASEAN.

Dr. Suwit highlighted the growth and transformation of ASEAN–ROK cooperation over the past year, including work on the new Plan of Action (2026–2030) and on advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in support of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. He reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to supporting effective implementation next year, underpinned by the reimagined “ABC priorities”, namely Advanced technology, Balanced Development, and Connected Community.
