On 28 November 2025, Dr. Suwit Mangkhala, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN, represented ASEAN at the Roundtable, co-hosted by the Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN and the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Indonesia, on the occasion of the launch of Outlook of 2025 ASEAN and Related Summits: CSIS Special Edition Commentaries.

In Thailand’s capacity as Country Coordinator for ASEAN–ROK Dialogue Relations, Dr. Suwit delivered congratulatory remarks highlighting the steady progress of ASEAN–ROK cooperation following the establishment of the ASEAN–ROK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and the celebration of the 35th anniversary of ASEAN–ROK Dialogue Relations last year.

He welcomed the adoption of the ASEAN–ROK Plan of Action 2026–2030 and underscored its forward-looking and practical initiatives across key areas, including climate action, education, digital transformation, public health, cyber security, and people-to-people exchanges. Dr. Suwit also reaffirmed the Republic of Korea’s role as a consistent and long-term partner in advancing ASEAN Community-building efforts.
