On 9 March 2022, H.E. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, attended the 1/2022 Meeting of the EAS Ambassadors in Jakarta via videoconferencing. Ambassadors and representatives from 18 EAS Participating Countries and the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community were also in attendance. The Meeting discussed ways to promote cooperation in various areas under the EAS framework and extensively exchanged views on key regional and international security issues, such as the South China Sea, the situation in Myanmar, and the situation in Ukraine.
