On 16 December 2022, H.E. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, hosted a lunch in honour of Ambassador Chirachai Punkrasin, Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD). The lunch was also attended by H.E. Satvinder Singh, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Economic Community, and other Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives to ASEAN or their representatives.

During the lunch, participants exchanged views on how to move forward the Sustainable Development Agenda in ASEAN and to further enhance cooperation in this area. It was suggested that the ACSDSD could play a role in supporting the implementation of
the Framework for Circular Economy for the ASEAN Economic Community in the energy, transport and agricultural sectors, which would also contribute to the region’s transition to net-zero economy.
