On 23 August 2022, H.E. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, attended the Handover Ceremony of the painting titled “A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains” from H.E. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China. H.E. Deng Xijun, Ambassador of China to ASEAN, presented the artwork and handed it over to H.E. Dato Lim Jock Hoi, Secretary-General of ASEAN, with the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) and Permanent Representatives of ASEAN Member States as witnesses.

The painting is a replica of the work by a renowned artist Wang Ximeng during Northern Song dynasty. The original painting is now collected in the Palace Museum in Beijing.
