On 11 November 2024, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, attended the 8^th ASEAN-Germany Development Partnership Committee Meeting at the ASEAN Secretariat.

Ambassador Phantipha highlighted ASEAN-Germany cooperation on sustainable development and circular economy, which will contribute to the advancement of the ‘Green ASEAN’ agenda. 

Germany was conferred the status of Development Partner of ASEAN in July 2016. The ASEAN-Germany Development Partnership Committee Meeting was subsequently established as the annual forum between the Committee of the Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) and Ambassador of Germany to ASEAN to discuss ways forward for enhancing cooperation under the ASEAN-Germany Practical Cooperation Areas.
