On 11 March 2026, H.E. Ms. Prinat Apirat, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, co-chaired the 13^th ASEAN–Republic of Korea Joint Cooperation Committee (AKJCC) Meeting with H.E. Mr. Hahm Jeong-han, Chargé d’Affaires of the Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN, at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta.

The Meeting discussed the progress of ASEAN–Republic of Korea cooperation and noted that implementation of the ASEAN–Republic of Korea Plan of Action to Implement the Joint Vision Statement for Peace, Prosperity and Partnership (2021–2025) has reached 93.8 per cent. Furthermore, both sides welcomed the steady progress in implementing the ASEAN–Republic of Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Plan of Action (2026–2030), which has already achieved 22.8 per cent implementation.

Following the Meeting, Ambassador Prinat delivered congratulatory remarks at a reception hosted by the Republic of Korea to mark the successful conclusion of the AKJCC Meeting.

Thailand assumed its role as the Country Coordinator for ASEAN–Republic of Korea Relations in 2024 and will complete its term in 2027.
