On 22 August 2025, H.E. Helen Fazey, Ambassador of the UK to ASEAN, paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, at the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN in Jakarta.

Both sides discussed ways to deepen ASEAN-UK cooperation in various areas and agreed in principle to co-organise an ASEAN-UK Dialogue on Sustainability as a concrete activity to advance sustainable development agenda in the region, as well as to commemorate the 5^th anniversary of the ASEAN-UK
