On 17 June 2026, H.E. Ms. Prinat Apirat, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, received a courtesy call by Mr. Filon Morar, United Nations Liaison Officer to ASEAN, United Nation Office in Indonesia, at the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN in Jakarta.

The two sides reaffirmed the strong partnership between ASEAN and the United Nations and discussed ways to further enhance cooperation under the ASEAN–UN Comprehensive Partnership. Ambassador Prinat also highlighted Thailand’s support for ASEAN–UN cooperation, including the Complementarities Initiative 2.0, a strategic framework that aligns the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 with the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as well as cooperation on climate resilience, digital transformation, and humanitarian assistance.

Both sides expressed their readiness to continue working closely to promote a resilient, inclusive, and people-centred ASEAN in support of regional peace and sustainable development.
