UN Women Indonesia’s Liaison for ASEAN paid a courtesy call on Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand

On 10 June 2026, Ms. Ulziisuren Jamsran, Representative and Liaison for ASEAN, UN Women Indonesia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. Prinat Apirat, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, to exchange views on cooperation between Thailand and UN Women within the ASEAN framework in promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment in the region.

The two sides discussed ongoing cooperation, as well as efforts to advance the implementation of the ASEAN Regional Plan of Action on the Elimination of Violence against Women (RPA on EVAW), in which Thailand is taking a leading role and also explored potential areas of future collaboration, including gender data, energy, climate change, and food security, particularly in the context of preparations towards Thailand’s future ASEAN Chairmanship.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation in support of an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable ASEAN Community.
