                   On 3 July 2024, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, attended the Second Meeting of the Group of the East Asia Summit Participating Countries’ Ambassadors to ASEAN in Jakarta (EAS Group) in 2024 and the EAS Group Retreat in Cianjur, West Java, Republic of Indonesia

                   Ambassador Phantipha underlined the need to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of the East Asia Summit (EAS) and to advance the implementation of the EAS Plan of Action (2024-2028), particularly in the areas of climate change, sustainable development, health security, and connectivity.  

                   The EAS is a Leaders-led forum for dialogue and cooperation on broad strategic, political, and economic issues of common interest. It comprises 18 participating countries, namely 10 ASEAN Member States, Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Russia, and the United States.
