On 17 May 2024, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, attended the First ASEAN-Netherlands Development Partnership Committee Meeting at the ASEAN Secretariat.

Ambassador Phantipha briefed the Meeting on Thailand’s efforts, in its capacity as the ASEAN Coordinator on Sustainable Development Cooperation, to promote the attainment of the SDGs in the region. She also shared Thailand’s views on mutually beneficial areas of practical cooperation between ASEAN and the Netherlands such as sustainable development, digitalisation, maritime logistics, water management, precision agriculture, creative economy, and people-to-people exchange, which could be incorporated into the first Practical Cooperation Areas of the ASEAN-Netherlands Development Partnership to be finalised this year.
