On 13 May 2024, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, attended the 14^th ASEAN-Australia Joint Cooperation Committee Meeting at the ASEAN Secretariat.

Ambassador Phantipha briefed the Meeting on Thailand’s efforts, in its capacity as the ASEAN Coordinator on Sustainable Development Cooperation, to promote the attainment of the SDGs in the region. She also suggested that ASEAN and Australia move forward their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership through enhanced cooperation in the areas that are mutually beneficial such as green growth, digitalisation and health security, which could be incorporated into the new ASEAN-Australia POA (2025-2029).
