On 11 August 2026, Mr. Suwit Mangkhala, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN, participated in the First ASEAN–Denmark Joint Sectoral Cooperation Committee (JSCC) Meeting at the ASEAN Secretariat.

On this occasion, CDA Suwit congratulated Denmark on officially becoming a Sectoral Dialogue Partner of ASEAN, noting that this milestone reflects Denmark's strong commitment to deepening its engagement with ASEAN and enhancing its constructive role in the region.

CDA Suwit also highlighted areas where ASEAN and Denmark share complementary strengths and interests, including digital transformation, smart cities, research and innovation, human capital development, and sustainable development. In this regard, he underscored Thailand's readiness, in its capacity as the ASEAN Coordinator for Sustainable Development Cooperation and as the host of the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD), to work closely with Denmark in advancing this important agenda.
