On 11 September 2024, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, attended the 21st Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) Plus Three Meeting at the ASEAN Secretariat.  

The Meeting reviewed the progress in the implementation of the ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Cooperation Work Plan (2023-2027) and discussed future directions. Thailand highlighted the importance of cooperation in the areas of education, disaster management and emergency response, as well as regional connectivity in line with the “Connecting the Connectivities” approach with a focus on supply chains and logistics, and digital economy. Thailand also emphasised cooperation in addressing the challenges arising from connectivity such as cybersecurity and online scams.

The “ASEAN Plus Three” comprises 10 ASEAN Member States, China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.
