On 22 April 2024, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to ASEAN, attended the 5th ASEAN-Chile Development Partnership Committee Meeting at the ASEAN Secretariat which was co-chaired by the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community and the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to ASEAN, and attended by the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN.

The Meeting reviewed progress of and exchanged views on cooperation under the Practical Cooperation Areas for ASEAN-Chile Development Partnership 2021-2025. ASEAN and Chile reaffirmed the commitment to enhance their cooperation, especially as this year marks the 5th Anniversary of their Development Partnership. Chile was the first Latin American country to establish a formal partnership with ASEAN.
