Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN Holds a Buddhist Chanting Ceremony and Offers Midday Alms to Monks to Mark the New Year 2025

On 6 January 2025, H.E. Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, together with officials of the Permanent Mission and their families, organized a Buddhist chanting ceremony and offered midday alms to five monks from Vihara Jakarta Dhammacakka Jaya Temple, Buddha Metta Arama Temple, and Vipassana Giriratana Temple to bring auspiciousness for the New Year 2025 at the office of the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN in Jakarta. On this occasion, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative engaged in discussions with the monks on the dissemination of Buddhism in Indonesia, as well as the history and activities of Thai temples in the country.
