On 2 March 2026, H.E. Ms. Prinat Apirat, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, hosted a working lunch for Mr. Lee Yam Ming, Executive Director of the ASEAN Co-ordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre), at her residence in Jakarta.

Both sides exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation on disaster management and humanitarian assistance in the region. Ambassador Prinat also emphasised that Thailand values the important role of the AHA Centre and stands ready to support the work of the Centre in delivering humanitarian assistance to ASEAN Member States in times of disaster.

The AHA Centre, located in Jakarta, was established in 2011 to serve as a coordinating body with ASEAN Member States and relevant stakeholders during disasters. The Centre’s Disaster Emergency Logistics System for ASEAN (DELSA) warehouses are located in Subang, Malaysia; Chai Nat Province, Thailand; and Quezon City, the Philippines.
